Mumbai: On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, actor Vikrant Massey has highlighted the importance of cycling as a simple yet effective solution to rising pollution and health concerns.

Speaking exclusively to IANS, the ‘Chhapaak’ actor emphasized that adopting cycling not only helps reduce carbon emissions but also promotes a healthier lifestyle.

Vikrant encouraged, especially the younger generation, to embrace it as a daily habit. He shared, “If we ride a cycle, there will be no pollution. And that is the solution to our pollution. Your health will also improve. The government is also incentivizing it.”

He added, “If we ride a bicycle, carbon emissions will be reduced. Health will also improve. So, I hope for this movement, especially the younger generation. Today, the youngest rider we have is a 20-month-old boy. He is not even 2 years old, but he is trying to ride a cycle. He is pedaling. It’s a wonderful thing.”

The 77th edition of Fit India Sundays on Cycle was organized on World Bicycle Day in the presence of Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The event brought together actor Vikrant Massey, boxer Nupur Sheoran, and actor-model Ragini Dwivedi, who participated in promoting fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

On the work front, Vikrant Massey will be seen portraying spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in the upcoming drama “White.” The film is directed by Montoo Bassi and produced by Siddharth Anand under Marflix Pictures, in collaboration with Mahaveer Jain Films and Peacecraft Pictures.

A few weeks ago, the actor met met Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and greeted him with a warm hug,

Speaking during a satsang, Vikrant was heard saying, “I got the opportunity to play your role… I got the chance in this life to portray a person who, as I said, is my Gurudev, my home, my guide, my everything… so I’m really grateful.”

In addition, Vikrant also has “Yaar Jigri” and “Talaakhon Mein Ek” lined up in his upcoming projects.
