Yadadri-Bhongir: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Saturday said that village-level committees were the foundation for the TRS party to make it an unconquerable political force in the State.

Speaking at a meeting conducted at Ramannapet for the introduction of the newly announced village and mandal level committee of the TRS party, Jagadish Reddy said that Telangana has turned into a fortress of TRS as opposition parties have failed to play their role in extending constructive suggestions to the State government. The Opposition parties have turned into anti-development forces in the State and also trying to halt the execution of irrigation projects, he added.

Stating that the leaders of opposition parties have been indulging in mud-slinging against the TRS government to their political existence, he alleged that there was no change in the opposition parties even after being rejected by the people in all elections i.e. from Sarpanch to Legislative Assembly elections.

He opined that the TRS committees from village level to district level have the responsibility to reverse the false propaganda of the opposition parties against the State government. The opposition parties don’t have moral rights to criticise the State government, which stood Telangana on top in the country in welfare and development, he added.

TRS State general secretary Takkelapally Ravinder Rao asked the members of the TRS committees to work like a bridge between the people and the State government. He asked the party members to bring it to the notice of the State government or district officials if any public issues are coming to their notice.

Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav and Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah also attended the meeting.
