Siddipet: Nearly 700 voters of Palugugadda village in Jagdevpur mandal of Gajwel constituency conducted their own panchayat election, even before the government issued the notification.

The villagers unanimously elected Narra Kanakaiah as Sarpanch and Raj Kumar as his deputy, following personal assurances from both to contribute to the development of the village.

The proposal was accepted by the entire village, and the duo were felicitated at the panchayat office on Wednesday.

Notably, Rajeshwari Ravi, who had defeated Kanakaiah in the previous election, extended her support to him this time.
