Sangareddy: Villagers of Nallavalli and Kothapally presented a huge number of representations (1,190) at Gummadidala Tahsildar’s opposing the government’s proposal to set up a dump yard close to their villages at Pyaranagar. These two villagers made a beeline carrying a representation each. The officials invited opinions on April 3, giving a 15-day window to express their opinions. The villagers unitedly moved towards the Tahsidlar’s office on Friday opposing the move.
The police have deployed huge force to ensure peace prevailed. When the police tried to restrict the people going into the Tahsildar’s office, the villagers picked up an argument and accused them of suppressing their voice. While SP Paritosh Pankaj, DSP Ravindar Reddy and other officials ensured orderly conduct, RDO Ravindar Reddy, Tahasildar Paramesh and other officials received the representations.
JAC leaders Chimmula Goverdhan Reddy, Jaipal Reddy and others were present. Speaking on the occasion, the villagers demanded that the government should withdraw the proposed dump yard after seeing the response from the people. They said that they would further continue their agitations and force the government to withdraw their decision.
