Villagers offering Ganga aarthi at Rangaipally in Siddipet district on Tuesday.
Siddipet: Farmers of Rangaipally celebrated by offering Ganga arathi at a lake as Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS) water reached the village lake.
They displayed a flex banner of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and former minister T Harish Rao, crediting them for the Godavari water they had received. The villagers asked the Congress leaders to have a dip in the Godavari water, to see what change Chandrashekhar Rao had ushered in with KLIS during his tenure as the Chief Minister. They said water flowing into lakes in mid-March was an answer to the Congress leaders who were falsely propagating that KLIS had collapsed.
Villagers of Vitalapur and Kothapally also joined them in the celebrations.
