Villagers rescue man swept away in Kagina River in Vikarabad
A man from Agganur village narrowly escaped drowning after being swept away in the swollen Kagina River near Veereshittipalli bridge in Vikarabad. Quick-thinking villagers rescued him using ropes and rushed him to hospital, where he was declared out of danger.

Hyderabad: In a dramatic rescue, villagers saved a man who got accidentally swept away in the swollen Kagina River near Veereshittipalli bridge in Tandur mandal of Vikarabad district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the man was identified as Narsaiah of Agganur village in Yalal mandal. He was seen struggling for life, raising his hands and floating helplessly near a check dam at Veereshittipalli.
Alert locals immediately swung into action. Using ropes, they managed to pull Narsaiah safely to the shore in a tenseful rescue operation.
He was then shifted to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, where doctors confirmed that he is out of danger.
The villagers were widely appreciated for their quick thinking and brave rescue effort.
