Villagers stage sit-in in power substation seeking quality power in Nirmal

Nirmal: Protesting erratic supply of power, residents staged a sit-in on the premises of a power substation at Sonari village in Kubheer mandal on Sunday.
Residents of the village alleged that outages in supply of electricity had become a common affair, causing inconvenience to them. They accused officials of NPDCL of providing power to other villages neglecting Sonari. They recalled that they donated land for constructing the sub-station 20 years ago.
The villagers demanded uninterrupted electricity to their village for 24 hours a day. They lamented that the officials were showing partiality in supplying power for reasons unknown. They requested the officials to probe into their allegations and take action against staffers who were responsible for the erratic supply of the power to their village.
