Hyderabad: Telangana State Planning Board Vice-Chairman B Vinod Kumar conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of Union Law Secretary (Legislature) and senior officer Dr G Narayana Raju who passed away on Wednesday. He recalled that Narayana Raju, who served as the Union Law Secretary, played an important role in implementation of the promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act which paved the way for formation of Telangana State.
He said the death of Narayana Raju due to Covid-19 was an irreplaceable loss for both the Telugu States. He said that the senior officer had always been supportive of Telangana State and made timely suggestions to the Centre, including the meetings held by Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, for effective implementation of the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act. He recalled that Narayana Raju also strongly pitched for increasing the number of Assembly constituencies in both the Telugu States.
