Viraj Gohil and Snigdha Kanta win ITF Juniors titles

Viraj Gohil and Snigdha Kanta won the singles titles at the Raja Narasimha Rao Memorial ITF Juniors (J60) tennis tournament held at New Dimension Tennis Academy, Bhuvanagiri, with strong performances in their finals

Hyderabad: Second-seeded Viraj Gohil defeated fifth-seeded Vipul Patel 6-1, 6-4 in the boys’ final, while fifth-seeded Snigdha Kanta shocked top-seeded Aishwarya Jadhav 5-7, 6-2, 6-0 in the girls’ final of the Raja Narasimha Rao Memorial ITF Juniors (J60) tennis tournament at the New Dimension Tennis Academy, Bhuvanagiri, near here on Saturday.

The results:
Boys singles: Viraj Gohil bt Vipul Patel 6-1, 6-4.
Girls singles: Snigdha Kanta bt Aishwarya Jadhav 5-7, 6-2, 6-0.
Boys doubles: Thomas Coppi (FRA) / Pranav Mahesh Saravanakumar bt Hruthik Katakam / Prakaash Sarran 6-4, 6-0.
Girls doubles: Nainika Narender Reddy Bendram / Snigdha Kanta bt Shreenitli Chowdhury / Harsha Karthika Oruganti 5-1 (conceded).
