Viral video leak from Mega 157 sets spark legal warning
A leaked video from the sets of Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara’s upcoming film Mega 157 has caused a stir online, prompting a stern warning from the makers. Legal action has been threatened against further breaches.
Hyderabad: In an unexpected turn of events, a leaked video from the sets of Mega 157; the much-awaited collaboration between actor Chiranjeevi and director Anil Ravipudi, has stirred tension online. The film, which has already generated huge buzz among fans, recently began its third schedule in Kerala. However, just hours into the shoot, an unauthorised clip surfaced on social media, catching the attention of the film’s makers.
The video, believed to have been captured by a bystander without consent, shows Chiranjeevi and leading lady Nayanthara shooting a romantic number in traditional attire. It quickly gained traction online, being widely shared across platforms, much to the disappointment of the film’s production team.
Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, the producers of the project, responded swiftly. In an official note, they expressed serious concern over the incident, calling it a “breach of trust” and a direct violation of the team’s creative rights. Emphasising the hard work that goes into every scene, the production houses urged the public to refrain from recording or spreading any material from the shoot.
The team further warned that any additional leaks would not be taken lightly and could invite legal consequences. Citing anti-piracy and copyright laws, they made it clear that strict action would be taken against those violating on-set confidentiality.
Currently titled Mega 157, the film is shaping up to be a full-blown mass entertainer packed with action and drama. With Anil Ravipudi directing the project after his Sankranthi hit Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam, and crowd-favourites Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara in the lead, expectations are sky-high. Fans are eagerly awaiting every new update from the sets.
However, following the recent leak, the production now faces the added challenge of keeping the remaining shoot under wraps. With security reportedly being tightened on location, the makers hope the focus will return to the film’s content rather than off-camera controversies.
