The 36-year-old right-handed batter’s statement comes amid ongoing chatter about his potential retirement from all formats of the game.

Kohli had earlier announced his retirement from T20 internationals after leading India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, fueling speculations that he might soon step away from ODIs and

Tests. However, his latest remarks have thrilled fans, putting an end to immediate retirement talks.

He also played a pivotal role in India’s triumph in the recently-concluded Champions Trophy in Dubai, finishing as one of the top run-scorers. His century against arch-rivals Pakistan and a match-winning 84 run innings in the semi-final against Australia, proved crucial in securing India’s triumph, once again demonstrating why he remains one of the world’s finest batsmen.

As Team India looks ahead, Kohli’s commitment to the 2027 World Cup signals an exciting chapter in his illustrious career—one that fans are eager to witness.
