Hyderabad: Russian Center of Science and Culture is organising India Virtual Educational Fair 2021 on August 1 for students wishing to pursue their higher education in Russia.

The fair will provide a platform for students to know about medical and other courses being offered by leading Russian universities. Interested students can get detailed explanations about the admissions procedure, living expenses, eligibility etc., during the fair at www.rusedufair.com.

The participants can directly interact with the authorities and existing students of the institutions via one-to-one chat, receive information and register online for admission.

Addressing a virtual press conference on Friday, Consul General of the Russian Federation in South India, Oleg N. Avdeev said the seats for Indian students to study in English medium, has been increased from 3,000 to 5,000 during the last academic year.

Currently, there were about 15,000 Indian students studying at medical and other institutions in Russia, he said.

Representatives of Russian universities said they had initiated talks with leading Indian medical colleges and hospitals including Dr. MGR Medical University for clinical training of their students in India, exchange of faculty and students, and joint research work.

Indian students would be required to get fully vaccinated when they travel to Russia, once the curbs were lifted, they said, adding that the direct classes will be conducted adhering to internationally accepted Covid-19 guidelines.

The NEET-UG eligibility is mandatory for Indian students to pursue a medical course within or outside the country.

Considering the uncertainty around the NEET 2021, students would not be asked to produce the NEET certificate at the time of enrollment, they said adding that students can submit the mark sheet after NEET results.

For more details about the programmes offered by universities, and about the fair, students can call on 9282221221 or visit the website www.rusedufair.com.
