Visakhapatnam: A girl studying B.Tech has been selected as software engineer by e-Commerce major Amazon.

Snehakiran, a native of Palasa in Srikakulam district, is studying final year engineering at ANITS college in the city.


During campus selections held in December last year, Amazon selected her offering a salary of Rs.44 lakh per annum.

Snehakiran’s father Simhachalam works as a clerk in a cashew unit and mother Subhashini, is a homemaker.

The family which languished in poverty so far, is elated that happy days are not far.
