Visakhapatnam’s Hemisha Nannamu qualifies for National Women’s Team Chess Championship

Visakhapatnam chess player Hemisha Nannamu has qualified for the National Women's Team Chess Championship after winning bronze at the Andhra Pradesh State Women's Team Chess Championship in Chirala. She will represent Andhra Pradesh at the national event in Haryana next January.

Hyderabad: Visakhapatnam’s Hemisha Nannamu has brought pride to the district by qualifying to play in the National Women Team Chess Championship.

Hemisha recently became the Visakhapatnam District Women Chess Champion. Later, she participated in the Andhra Pradesh State Women Team Chess Championship 2026, held at Chirala and won the bronze medal. With this achievement, she has qualified to participate in the national-level chess championship.
