Hyderabad: Former MP and BJP Core Committee Member G Vivek Venkatswamy on Sunday denied any connection with the incident in which Rs 1 crore allegedly meant for distribution in Dubbak election was seized from BJP sympathisers.
In a statement, Vivek said he condemns his name being dragged into a business deal with which he has no connection. He said he was considering legal action of defamation against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for pressurising police to attribute the issue to him. “The Chief Minister, who has realised that the TRS party is losing the Dubbak bypoll, is trying to make baseless allegations against BJP and me,” he said.
