Vizag ready for APL 5; free entry for fans

The ACA operations team has cleared Visakhapatnam’s YSR ACA-VDCA Stadium for the 2026 Andhra Premier League starting June 9. The opening match features Kakinada Kings against Simhadri Vizag Lions at 7:30 PM, with free stadium entry for all spectators

Hyderabad: The APL Operations Team today completed a full inspection of the stadium and confirmed that all arrangements are in place for the upcoming Andhra Premier League matches in Visakhapatnam.

COO of the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA), Girish Dongre, stated that the venue is fully prepared for the APL fixtures starting from June 9.

The opening match of the tournament will feature Kakinada Kings versus Simhadri Vizag Lions on 9 June 2026, with play scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM.

The Andhra Cricket Association extends a warm invitation to cricket fans and the general public to attend.

Entry will be free for all spectators.

ACA officials present during today’s inspection included M. S. Kumar ,GM( Game Development, ACA), J. K. M. Raju (Stadium Manager, ACA), and Y. Venkatesh (Media Manager, ACA).
