Hyderabad: VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology (VNR VJIET) has signed an MoU with AVEVA Ltd to bring Rs 8.82 crore worth of advanced industrial engineering software to its campus. An institute press release on Tuesday claimed that it was AVEVA’s first-ever academic collaboration in the country. This collaboration will enable VJIET students to gain hands-on access to industry-grade AVEVA Engineering and AVEVA E3D software suites, each provided with 30-user licences and deployed in a dedicated simulation facility supported by high-end computing infrastructure on campus.
The software empowers students to design, visualise and simulate complex industrial plants across sectors such as petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, power generation and heavy manufacturing, giving them early exposure to real-world engineering challenges. By working on advanced capabilities including digital twin technologies, 3D plant modelling and integrated automation workflows, students develop practical skills aligned with global industrial practices.
Offered as an add-on course through the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, the training also enables students to appear for AVEVA-led certification examinations, significantly strengthening their technical competence, industry readiness and employability, the press release added.
