Hyderabad: VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET) recently organised an induction programme virtually to welcome its incoming students of the academic year 2021-22. A total of 1,740 fresh BTech students took admissions at the Institute.
Speaking on the occasion, Vignana Jyothi Society general secretary, J Seshagiri Rao said students must upskill themselves with the right career vision. He urged students to acclimatise themselves with the campus and its infrastructural facilities in the first few weeks itself and shape their career in their four years of education. Rao insisted that students must make the best of the institute while not compromising on their academics.
Welcoming new students, principal professor CD Naidu spoke about institute and its accomplishments.
Dean-Academics, professor K Anuradha spoke about the innovative teaching methodologies, emerging domains known as ‘Mezzanine Technologies’ at the Institute and choice-based credit system that provides students with an opportunity to learn above and beyond their engineering disciplines through open electives and interdisciplinary courses, as well as co-curricular activities. Professor Anuradha also spoke about the academic regulations and requirements besides elucidated the distinctive teaching-learning features of the institute.
Director for Advancement and Dean-Administration, professor B Chennakesava Rao advised students to take advantage of the institute’s facilities and initiatives for their rounded development.
