On the occasion, students pledged to follow road safety rules and to be empathetic and responsible in action.

Hyderabad: The Department of Civil Engineering of VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET) campaigned for the 32nd National Road Safety Week initiated by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, and the State government.

With this year’s theme being ‘Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha’, the faculty members of Civil Engineering department along with students of MTech- Highway Engineering and BTech Civil Engineering have conducted awareness activities for safe driving within the campus and at Bachupally X Road, the Institute said in a press release on Thursday.

On the occasion, students pledged to follow road safety rules and to be empathetic and responsible in action. Road safety awareness is both a personal and a social responsibility, Department of Civil Engineering, head, Prof. A Mallika said.
