Vote for Mouse Deer conservation, urges Hyderabad zoo
Nehru Zoological Park has appealed to citizens to vote for its Indian Mouse Deer conservation project under the ‘Beacons of Hope’ initiative. The project focuses on breeding and reintroduction of the rare species. Voting closes at 7 pm on February 26

Hyderabad: The Nehru Zoological Park has urged people to vote for the Indian Mouse Deer in the Beacons of Hope voting, a public voting process. The initiative titled Conservation Breeding and Reintroduction of the Mouse Deer’ (Moschiola indica) from Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, has been listed at Serial No.1.

The Hyderabad zoo park has been protecting one of India’s smallest and rarest deer through conservation, breeding and reintroduction into the wild. “Your vote strengthens breeding, protection and return to the wild for this fragile native species,” the zoo said.
