Sangareddy: Finance Minister T Harish Rao has called upon the voters of Bharathi Nagar division of the GHMC to elect sitting corporator and TRS candidate Sindu Adharsh Reddy to ensure that the area witnesses rapid development since the State is under the TRS governance.

Addressing an election meeting in Saibaba Nagar on Monday, Harish said local bodies would witness rapid development only if a ruling party candidate was elected.

Stating that elected representatives of the TRS were committed to public service and were with people even during the lockdown, guiding the official machinery, the Minister said Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan had also praised the efforts of the State government during the lockdown.

He said another Union Minister, however, was making contradicting statements against the TRS government with the sole objective of luring voters. He said people would teach a fitting lesson to such people who were propagating false information.

Stating that Telangana was the only State to supply potable drinking water to every household under Mission Bhagiratha, Harish said the TRS government was best using the Krishna, Godavari and Manjira rivers for the purpose. In fact, Telangana is the only State to supply drinking water from three rivers.

Besides being right on the top in per capita electricity consumption, Harish said the State was far ahead in solar power generation compared to other States. The TRS government was giving utmost priority for the maintenance of peace in the city, and Hyderabad had the highest number of CCTVs, the Finance Minister said.

He further said many surveys had declared Hyderabad a most livable city in the country. MLC V Bhupal Reddy and others were present. Meanwhile, Patancheru MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy, Andole MLA Chanti Kranthi Kiran and others also campaigned in the Bharathi Nagar division on Monday.
