Visakhapatnam: With the consistent efforts by the Division, the first maize rake of the season has been loaded to Benapole in Bangladesh with 42 BCN wagons weighing around 2,424 tonnes.

Transportation of agricultural products by train is economically beneficial to consignors, besides transporting these essential products in a safest and fastest manner to the neighboring country.

Divisional Railway Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava appreciated the efforts of officers and staff of the Division in capturing the traffic to the new destinations which is a long lead traffic. He said that Railways is always proactive in rendering support and encouragement to freight customers.

After setting up a Business Development Unit by the Railways, regular interactions are held with the freight customers to communicate the policies, incentives and measures adopted by Railways for the safest and cheapest mode of transportation.
