Warangal: 10-day workshop on research methodology kicks off at SR University

The workshop being organised in collaboration with the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) was aimed at fostering academic excellence and research competencies among scholars and academicians from across the country.
The workshop was inaugurated by senior leader at Tata Consultancy Services, Chandramohan Malladi, who emphasised the relevance of research in industry and nation-building. Research should be focused on tangible outcomes, either through generating business value or contributing to societal development, he said.
The university registrar Dr. R Archana Reddy highlighted the importance of such workshops in laying a strong foundation for research. The university surpassed 1,000 Scopus-indexed publications this year, with a target of reaching 1,400 by December, she said.
Dr. Franklin, from the Department of Management Studies at Dr NGP Institute of Technology, Coimbatore of Tamil Nadu laid focus on the long-term nature of research and urged participants not to view completing a PhD as the end of their journey, but rather as the beginning of their contributions to the world of research.
He also highlighted the importance of publishing impactful research. He noted that research was not just about producing papers for universities or institutions, but about creating a name for oneself in the world by making valuable contributions.
The course director of the workshop, Dean, School of Business Dr. N. Suman Kumar informed that the workshop would involve 30 participants, 15 from SR University, 10 from other parts of Telangana and 10 from other States
