Warangal: A 14-year-old girl died due to electrocution at Nallabelli mandal headquarters in the district on Friday.
The deceased, Pittala Sirivennela, was a 9th-grade student at Zilla Parishad Secondary School at Nallabelli. She suffered an electric shock while attempting to switch on the water pump motor to draw water to take a bath.
Her father, Ramesh, stated that the accident occurred because she had not noticed that rats had gnawed through the motor’s electrical wiring. Upon receiving information from the family, 108 ambulance emergency medical technician (EMT) Dasru and pilot Kiran arrived at the scene.
Although they attempted to save her life by performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while she was being shifted to the local government hospital, the doctors found that the girl had already succumbed to the electric shock.
