Warangal Urban: Following directions from the State government, District Collector Rajeev Gandhi Hanumanthu along with the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) is taking all steps to vaccinate potential spreaders of novel coronavirus in the district. As a part of this exercise, the officials have identified a total of 90,500 potential spreaders and identified RR Gardens in Khila Warangal, Innerwheel Club, Hanamkonda, Vishnupriya Garden, Hanamkonda, Multipurpose Community Hall, Kazipet, GMR Gardens at Bheemaram in the city to vaccinate the potential spreaders.
Each day, about 5,000 potential spreaders in the city will be vaccinated. These include vendors at Rythu Bazar, vegetable and meat markets, hawkers, kirana shop owners and workers, iron and hardware shop owners and workers, barbers and journalists. Each potential spreader is given a token and he/she must go the designated centre with the slip and Aadhar card to get the vaccine jab.

Meanwhile, the administration has decided to provide vaccine jab to 6108 potential spreaders which include Fair Price Dealers, FCI staff, employees and workers -1294, LPG and petrol pump dealers and staff -2165, Journalists, media staff and I & PR staff -536 and fertiliser, pesticide and seed dealers and workers -2113. A total of 11 centres –Government High School (GHS), Inavole, GHS (GIRLS), Dharmasgar, Telangana Residential School, Velair, GHC, Hasanparthy, GHS, Kamalapur, GHS, Bheemadevarapally and Mulkanur, GHS, Elkathurthy, GHS, Kazipet, GHS, near Madikonda Ambedkar’s statue, AVV Degree College, Nagarjuna International School, Narendranagar High School, Govt Junior College, Krishna Colony in Warangal, GHS, Shambhunipet, Arya Vysya School, Shambhunipet, GHS, (GIRLS), Hanamkonda, and Basith Nagar High School. Employees of the agriculture department can also get the vaccine at these centres.
