Warangal: Considering the rise in Covid-19 cases and the imminent third wave, Bala Vikasa with the support of Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services Limited, has launched an ambulance service in Warangal district to cater to the needs of rural poor Covid-19 infected people.
Prasaram Anjaneyulu, Circle Head – FES, Mahindra Finance, and Shoury Reddy Singareddy, Executive Director, Bala Vikasa, have flagged off the ambulance, as part of its Covid-19 Response Activities, at the Bala Vikasa People Development Training Center, on Monday.
Launching the ambulance service, Prasaram Anjaneyulu said that Mahindra Finance was able to help scores of people through the ambulance service and help communities survive the pandemic. He further appreciated the efforts of Bala Vikasa in helping communities in these tough times.
Shoury Reddy Singareddy said having an ambulance service exclusively at lower costs for the rural poor Covid patients will save many lives and will also reduce the burden on the public health care system. “Many lost their loved ones during the second wave only because they could not get appropriate medical care at the right time. It is very important that we are all prepared and brace the imminent third wave and help the communities survive the pandemic,” he added. He further expressed his gratitude to Mahindra & Mahindra for extending their support to Bala Vikasa and helping the rural communities in these testing times.
Bala Vikasa has always been at the forefront of helping the needy communities during the Covid crisis and is constantly working on various projects as part of Corona Cheyutha to keep the communities prepared during the rapidly evolving pandemic.
