Warangal Urban: As many as eight students of the State-run Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal, tested positive for Covid-19. They were admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMH) and private hospitals for treatment.
Seven of them had already taken both doses of Covid vaccine. When contacted, KMC Principal Dr Sunkaraneni Sandhya Rani said that they held a camp for Covid tests on the college premises on Thursday and a total of 192 students were tested for the infection. “Eight of them tested positive for Covid-19 and were admitted to hospital. Their condition is stable,” she said.
When asked how many of them were vaccinated, she said that seven of the eight infected students were given the vaccine.
