Warangal: A total of 6,588 candidates appeared for the entrance exam conducted by the Warangal Police Commissionerate authorities to select candidates for admission into the free coaching classes offered by them for those preparing for Sub-Inspector and constable jobs in the police department.
The entrance exam was conducted at 10 centres including Warangal city under the Warangal police commissionerate limits on Thursday.
While 2,769 have attended the exam under the Central Zone limits, 2,301 have attended it in East Zone limits and the number of the candidates appeared for the exam in the West Zone is 1,518 as against a total of 6,672. Warangal police commissioner along with DCP K Pushpa Reddy and others inspected the exam centres here. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Warangal police commisisonerate had decided to offer free coaching for the job aspirants as the State government would likely to release notification for the recruitment of the jobs in the police department.
