Warangal Urban: The Department of Chemistry at Kakatiya Government College (KGC) in Hanamkonda, will conduct free coaching classes for M.Sc. (Chemistry) Entrance, CPGET-2021. The classes will be held in online mode from second week of August to third week of September, said S Ganapathi Rao, Principal (FAC). The students who attended the online classes in the last year secured four ranks including the first rank in the CPGET-2020 in Telangana.
“As we conducted free online coaching for the Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM)-2021 for admission into the Master of Science and other post-graduate science programmes at Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institute of Science and National Institutes of Technology from Jan 8 to Feb 12, 2021, via online, two students secured seats in IITs, two students in NITs and two are in the waiting list,” programme coordinator and Head, Department of Chemistry, Dr B. Ramesh said, adding that they were also running a YouTube channel for the benefit of the students. The channel ‘CHEMISTRY KGC’ has got 1.05K subscribers so far. “We are offering the coaching for the benefit of the students from poor financial backgrounds without even taking the registration fee,” Ramesh added.

In addition to college senior lecturers Dr B. Ramesh, Kandala Satyanarayana, Dr. Vasam Sreenivas, P. Sumalatha, K. Suneetha, Dr. Ravula Mogili, K. Vani, Alishala Ashok, K. Jagadesh Babu, expert resource persons are drawn from NIT, Warangal, Osmania University (OU) Kakatiya University (KU) and other Government Degree Colleges across the state.
CPGET-2021 is a Telangana state-level Common Post Graduate Entrance Test conducted by Osmania University. The entrance exam of CPGET 2021 will offer admission to PG and 5-year integrated programmes in Osmania University <https://www.careers360.com/university/osmania-university-hyderabad> , Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Palamuru University, Satavahana University and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University and all it’s affiliated for the academic year 2021-2022.
Outgoing final year students of the science stream of any college in the state can attend the programme. Classes will be arranged for Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and specialized topics like Spectroscopy. Online periodic and grand tests will also be conducted for practice.
