Warangal Urban: Commissioner of Police (CP) P Pramod Kumar on Thursday suspended Inspector Pathipaka Dayakar for his alleged involvement in a land dispute. It may be recalled here that a case was also booked against him at Hanamkonda police station where he worked as Inspector and was attached to the headquarters on October 1 following the case.
The CP also appointed an ACP to probe into the allegations and submit a report to him. It is alleged that Dayakar helped the accused in kidnapping and threatening a land owner from Mulugu district in connection with the land dispute. The accused with the support of Dayakar threatened the land owner of dire consequences if he did not agree to vacate his house and hand it over to them to settle the land dispute. The land is worth about Rs 50 lakh.
A 2007 batch Sub-Inspector of Police, Dayakar earlier worked as Inspector at Mills Colony in Warangal and as Sub-Inspector at the Government Railway Police station at Kazipet.
