Warangal: Kakatiya University Vice-Chancellor Prof Thatikonda Ramesh, along with former Registrar Prof K Purushotham, released a Degree textbook titled ‘English for Careers’ recently. According to a press note released by KU, Prof K Purushotham, former Prof M Rajeshwar and Dr R Meghana Rao have authored the book for the use of the third-year students.
The book focuses on teaching communication skills through the content of ethics and human values in the semester V and employability skills in the semester VI. English is introduced in the third year of the Degree for the first time in history so as to continue teaching communication skills in the third year, which will help students in securing employment. The textbook is part of the new CBCS curriculum that came into effect from the academic year 2019-20.
