Warangal: A man was beaten to death by his rivals at Dharmasagar village near here on Monday. The deceased was identified as Chintha Ashok (35) of SC Colony.

Sources said Ashok was attacked with sticks by two persons from the same village near the Fair Price Shop in the village when he came to buy essential commodities. He succumbed to bleeding injuries on the spot. He is survived by wife, three sons and  a daughter.

Kazipet ACP Ravindra Kumar, Dharmasagar Inspector Ramesh Kumar and other police visited the spot and shifted the body for postmortem. It is suspected that old rivalry led to murder of Ashok. The accused are said to be absconding.
