Hyderabad: Stating that the Warangal meeting was only a beginning, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday said the party would intensify its attack on the Congress and return to power in Telangana.

Buoyed by the massive turnout at its Silver Jubilee Public Meeting held at Elkathurthy near Warangal on Sunday, Rama Rao thanked the lakhs of people who gathered at the meeting, demonstrating their faith in BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao‘s leadership.

In a statement, Rama Rao stated that the public meeting was one of the largest political gatherings in Indian political history, in clear indication of the party’s enduring connection with the people. Despite heavy traffic disruptions, attributed to the failure of the State police in managing the flow, he noted that people’s determination ensured they reached the venue in lakhs. He said the success of the event despite logistical hurdles was a matter of great pride.

With the Warangal meeting setting the tone, the BRS would soon intensify its fight against the Congress government’s failures, injustices, and corruption. With Chandrashekhar Rao vowing to personally lead future movements, he called upon party workers to actively counter the ruling party’s propaganda and highlight the government’s inefficiencies at every opportunity.

Later in a teleconference with party leaders across Telangana, Rama Rao thanked the leadership and cadres for their month-long efforts in ensuring the program’s success. He also lauded the seamless efforts of local coordinators who ensured that participants traveled safely despite logistical challenges. He extended special appreciation to the social media teams and the media fraternity for their extensive coverage and support.

“The Warangal Silver Jubilee Meeting has become a historic milestone that will be remembered for years to come,” he added.
