Minister Satyavathi Rathod, MLA Aroori Ramesh and others at Inavou Mallanna temple in Hanamkonda district on Friday
Warangal: Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod, MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Baswaraju Saraiah, MLA Aroori Ramesh, and other TRS leaders visited the historic Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Inavolu village near here on Friday on the first day of the Brahmostavams (jatara).
They were received as per the norms laid down by the priests and Executive Officer (EO) A Nageshwar Rao.
Meanwhile, thousands of devotees have visited the temple to have the darshan of the presiding deity of the temple. As the officials have not allowed the devotees to perform special individual rituals like ‘Patnalu’, the festivities are going on a dull note. Devotees are allowed to have darshan only after checking their body temperature.
Authorities have made all arrangements to ensure that devotees follow Covid-19 protocol. A constable identified as Anil Kumar of Bachannapet police station who was pressed into bandobast duty had developed seizures and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Hanamkonda for treatment.
Mayor Gundu Sudharani and ZP chairman Sudheer Kumar were among the VIPs who visited the temple on Friday. Meanwhile, the Kothakonda Veerabhadra Swamy temple in Bheemadevarapally mandal of Hanamkonda district too witnessed a low turnout of the devotees when compared to the earlier jataras.
