Warangal Urban: MLC and Chairman of the Telangana Rythu Bandhu Samithi, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy on Saturday inaugurated the Warangal District Central Cooperative Bank’s branch at Dharmasagar mandal Centre in the district. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was working for the uplift of the farmers by making farming a profitable occupation.
He said the State government, which had already waived off Rs 25,000 crore in loans to farmers, would release Rs 2006 crore to banks from August 16 towards of waiver of the crop loans of the farmers who had availed loans up to Rs 50,000 from the banks.
Station Ghanpur MLA Thatikonda Rajaya said it was a great pleasure to participate in the inauguration programme of the newly set up Warangal DCCB’s branch. “Apart from crop loans, the co-operative banks also offer home loans, mortgage loans and gold loans at a lower rate of interest. The ‘Dalit Bandhu’ programme is aimed at empowering Dalits, and it is a boon to the Dalits,” he added.
DCCB Chairman Marneni Ravinder Rao, Dharmasagar PACS Chairman & DCCB Director Gundeti Rajeshwar Reddy, Velair MPP Kesireddy Sammireddy, ZPTCs Dr Pittala Srilatha, Chada Saritha Reddy, and others attended the programme.
