Warangal: Prof K Lakshma Reddy, Department of Chemistry, was appointed as the Rashtriya Avishkaar Abhiyan (RAA) nodal officer at the National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW). Prof A Ramachandraiah, who has been serving as the RAA Nodal Officer till now, would be retiring on July 31 and this position was offered to Prof Lakshma Reddy who has great experience in promoting scientific notion among people, said NIT, Director, Prof NV Ramana Rao, in a press release here on Friday.

Prof Lakshma Reddy will execute the Department of Science & Technology – Vigyan Prasar Science project on science communication, popularization and extension (SCOPE) in the Telugu language at Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. Prof Reddy shall also carry out funded and non – funded mentoring activities associated with the RAA at NITW and shall report to the Director. These appointment orders will come into effect immediately.
