Warangal software engineer dies of heart attack in US

Thatipatri Rakesh, a 41-year-old software engineer from Warangal working in the United States, died of a heart attack on Sunday. Rakesh, who had been living in Virginia for a decade, is survived by his wife Tejaswini and two children.

Warangal: A software engineer, Thatipatri Rakesh (41), hailing from Warangal died in the US on Sunday evening Indian standard time following a heart attack.

Rakesh of Ramnathpuri near Desaipet in Warangal had settled in the US for the last ten years. He married a native of Karimnagar, Tejaswini, in 2014 and the couple had two children. The family currently resides in the state of Virginia. Rakesh’s father, Thatipatri Jitender Rao, is a businessman (Vikram Traders) based in Warangal. A pall of gloom descended over his ancestral home in Warangal following his death at a young age.
According to his uncle, Raghuntha Rao Rakesh went to the US to pursue MS after completing B.Tech at Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering. He has been working at Amazon for the past several years. He last visited Warangal in February 2025 to attend a marriage ceremony.
