Warangal: SR University bagged the 134th Rank in NIRF-MHRD All India Level Rankings in Engineering category and is positioned in the Rank Band: 151 – 200 in the Overall category across India.
Addressing a press meet at the University campus here on Tuesday, Chancellor of SR University, A Varada Reddy said they were trying to enhance employment opportunities to students through collaboration with industries and academia. “The NIRF ranking shows our commitment to upskilling and help students get an opportunity to be hands-on with the latest technologies,” he said, and congratulated all the faculty members and students for their efforts to get awards and recognitions like NIRF Rank, ARIIA Rank, NBA Accreditation etc.,

Vice-Chancellor Prof G R C Reddy said SR University was one of the first private universities in Telangana State which has built an innovative ecosystem on campus through SR Innovation Exchange, a Technology Business Incubator, sponsored by NSTEDB and DST, and other centres of excellence. “These centres facilitated research opportunities to faculty and students which resulted in obtaining 134th NIRF Ranking in engineering category and in the Rank Band: 151 – 200 in the ‘overall category’,” he said, adding that the efforts made by faculty and students in these centers resulted in more than 50 patents and 2000 research articles.
“Success also encompasses 52 sponsored research projects and programmes by funding agencies DST, AICTE, UGC and others. The Collaborations with industries such as Microsoft, Arm, Cyient, Siemens, and foreign universities viz., Purdue University, UMass Lowell, St. Louis University, the University of Missouri in USA, Cranfield University in UK and Deakin University in Australia also played a significant role in developing and implementing the innovative curriculum. The core values embedded into the curriculum i.e., Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship is also a major contributor in achieving this honour,” GRC Reddy added.
SRU Director of Evaluation, Dr C V Guru Rao, Dean Academics, Dr V Mahesh and Registrar, Dr R Archana Reddy were present at the occasion.
