Warangal: Task Force police arrested a person for illegally transporting explosives and seized slurry explosives worth Rs 15,000 electric detonators (800) worth Rs 11,200 and role cable wire worth Rs 5,000 besides an autorickshaw at Vangapalli crossroads under Kamalapur police station limits on Wednesday. The arrested person was identified as Vallepu Ajay, an autodriver, of Madipally village in Hasanparthy mandal. Three other accused Bellamkonda Shyamsunder Reddy of Illanthakunta village of Kamalapur mandal, Banoth Ramadhan of Kazipet and Karthik of Kamareddypally of Parkal mandal are absconding.
“On credible information about the illegal possession of explosives, the Task Force team intercepted one auto bearing No TS-03-UC-1948 apprehended one person, while they were illegally transporting to quarries and crushers that required the material. The accused person and seized properties were handed over to Kamalapur police for further legal action,” a Task Force press note said. Inspectors Ch Srinivas Ji, R Santhosh, Sub-Inspectors S Premanandam and L Priyadarshini led the police teams.
