Warangal Urban: Chaitanya Deemed to be University (CDU) is standing at the 31st position with regard to placements in entire India. Impressed by the academic standards of Chaitanya, four State-funded American Universities (Alabama, East Michigan, Virginia Commonwealth and Savannah) have entered into an MoU with CDU. In India, the CDU has MoUs with ICCT, Maruti Suzuki and TCS to offer Industry Integrated Courses.
Speaking to ‘Telangana Today’, the University Registrar Prof Ravinder said, “A total of 236 students of different streams were already placed in reputed companies in the last academic year. Companies that offered jobs to our students include LVS Technologies, TVS Credit Service, Hetero Drugs, TCS and in its BPS and IT, MRF, Infosys, SCES, ICICI, Wipro, MRF, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Elico, Life Sliming, Airtel, TCS BPS, Convergence BPO, Medvarsity, Wipro, SPR Human Capital Solutions, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), WIPRO, Dazeworks, Nagarra, Value Momentum, Bridgenow, Maintec and Docmation,”
“Four BTech CSE final year students – G Sindhuja, N Amrishitha, K Ramya Likitha and M Varshitha got an offer as programmer analyst-salesforce at Cognizant with an annual package of Rs 5.4 lakh,” he said and added that Chancellor Dr CH V Purushotham Reddy and Vice-Chancellor Prof Gurrapu Damodar were striving a lot to improve the academic standards of the CDU.
“In the recruitments drive conducted on our campus, Wipro recruited 64 students and Infosys employed 34 students. In another placement drive conducted by Tech Mahendra, 41 students of the University were recruited. Meanwhile, Elico has recruited 67 students belonging to CDU,” he said and added that Placement Cell, headed by B Dinakar assists the promising graduate and post-graduate students at all times and conducts pre-placement training sessions as per the requirements of the companies.
