Warangal Urban: Sulakshya Seva Samithi (SSS), an NGO formed by youngsters to serve the people in Warangal, distributed ‘SafEnergy kits’ worth Rs 20,000 to elderly destitute and orphans staying at various homes in the city on Tuesday.

Founder President of Sulakshya Seva Samithi Santhosh Manduva said: “I have been celebrating my birthday at Oasis Orphanage and Ekashila Old Age for the last 14 years. Though going out for a lunch with the family and partying with friends is part of the routine, spending time with the underprivileged children and elderly destitute is a special feeling since we get utmost satisfaction for being the reason for their smiles.”

Stating that the organisation had come to the rescue of people in need during the lockdown period, he said that with news about a possible second wave of coronavirus doing the rounds, we distributed around 200 SafEnergy kits worth Rs 20,000  to people residing in various orphanages and old age homes. “This SafEnergy kit  consists of a mask, sanitiser, badam milk, peanut jaggery bar, biscuits and oranges,” he added.

Members of the Samithi Vangala Sai Kiran, Sravanthi Baddam, Ajith Sriperumbudur, Kodam Vinay, Sridhar Poloju, orphanage and old age home representatives took part in the event.
