Hyderabad: The third Test, which was played in the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad, lasted less than two days with Indian clinching a resounding victory with 10 wickets to take 2-1 lead. However, while there were debates going on around the pitch and how it behaved, another topic of discussion was the umpiring.

After the third umpire Shashuddin declared Shubman Gill not out off a catch Ben Stokes took at slips. Though the videos showed that the ball touched the ground, the third umpire took the decision watching just one replay, which irked England batsman Zak Crawley.

The England opener said, “It was very frustrating as we were behind in the game and we needed that 50-50 to go our way. And it went their way today. It is frustrating as we desperately want to win and it doesn’t help in our chances of winning. Hopefully, we play better tomorrow and don’t require that 50-50.”

That didn’t go down well with Wasim Jaffer who took to twitter to show his funny side. “*The Titanic has sunk* Some people: How can you be so sure the Titanic has sunk without looking at it from all angles? #INDvsENG,” he wrote.
