Afghan singer Sharafat Parwani’s song on his homeland goes viral

The whole world today is looking at something beyond imaginable – Afghan nationals completely evacuating from their ‘own’ country. The move must be proving to be definitely a hard step as leaving everything that one lived for in a nation is surely heart-rending.
Although in the past few weeks, several Afghans have managed to escape to Europe and North America with a hope of a better future, they still seem to miss their home terribly.

All this anguish is expressed perfectly by Afghan singer Sharafat Parwani. The video of him singing while being captured at a US military base or a refugee camp is making waves on the internet now.
The clip was shared by Sharif Hassan, who is a reporter for ‘The New York Times’.
In the 1-minute-50-second-long video, Sharafat Parwani can be heard singing about his homeland with other fellow countrymen.
“Your tired of anguish, my homeland. Your without song and melody, my homeland. Your pained but without medicine, my homeland. Sharafat Parwani, a popular singer who was recently evacuated, sings the song somewhere in a military base or refugee camp in the US (sic),” the video caption read.
Garnering over 38,700 views, the song has resonated not only with his countrymen but several netizens from across the world.
Sharafat Parwani is a famous Afghan singer, composer and songwriter.
