The whole world today is looking at something beyond imaginable – Afghan nationals completely evacuating from their ‘own’ country. The move must be proving to be definitely a hard step as leaving everything that one lived for in a nation is surely heart-rending.
Although in the past few weeks, several Afghans have managed to escape to Europe and North America with a hope of a better future, they still seem to miss their home terribly.
All this anguish is expressed perfectly by Afghan singer Sharafat Parwani. The video of him singing while being captured at a US military base or a refugee camp is making waves on the internet now.
The clip was shared by Sharif Hassan, who is a reporter for ‘The New York Times’.
Your tired of anguish, my homeland
Your without song and melody, my homeland
Your pained but without medicine, my homeland
