Watch: Anirudh Reddy says re-election could make him Chief Minister candidate
Jadcharla MLA J Anirudh Reddy claimed that if re-elected for two more terms, he could emerge as a Chief Minister candidate. He promised Rs 5,000 crore for constituency development and supported Rs 25 crore allocation for each MLA.
Mahabubnagar: Citing Kodangal constituency’s development, Jadcharla MLA J Anirudh Reddy claimed that he could emerge as a Chief Minister candidate if elected as legislator for the next two terms.
Unlike regional parties, in the Congress party there would be freedom and everyone would be provided with opportunities. For instance, Kodangal was developing rapidly after people elected Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, he said while speaking to media on Friday.
“I am a first-time MLA, and if people elect me for two more terms, I will emerge as a Chief Minister candidate. I will get Rs 5,000 crore for Jadcharla’s development,” Anirudh Reddy stressed.
He reiterated his support for Mahabubnagar MLA Yennem Srinivas Reddy’s demand for allocation of Rs 25 crore to each MLA.
Generally, legislators aspire to become Ministers as it helps them develop their respective constituencies. On par with Ministers, MLAs should also be allotted Rs 25 crore for each constituency, the Jadcharla legislator demanded.
“If funds are readily available, it will help in taking up drainage, roads, and other works without any delay,” Anirudh Reddy added.
