Hyderabad: Courting controversy, Kamareddy MLA from BJP K Venkataramana Reddy found fault with residents, who failed to reach safe places amidst flooding of a few colonies in the town.
Speaking to media persons, the BJP MLA said the flooding did not occur suddenly. Due to heavy rains, the water level increased steadily. When water was entering the houses, why did the residents not shift to other places, he asked in a video, which is widely being circulated on various social media platforms.
“This is overconfidence,” K Venkataramana Reddy said. He also remarked that when water enters houses, electronic equipment gets damaged. Who will be responsible for that – officials, elected public representatives or government, he questioned.
