Hyderabad: A man in an inebriated state attempted to attack traffic police officers during a drunk and drive checking at Champapet on Saturday night.
The man was driving a scooter when a team of Mirchowk police who were conducting checking stopped him at Champapet. A breathalyzer test confirmed that he was under the influence of alcohol.
When the police tried to seize the vehicle, the man became aggressive, creating a disturbance on the road. At one point of time, he picked-up a stone and tried to attack the policemen. The man also tried to set the vehicle on fire.
The traffic police eventually managed to seize the vehicle and transported it to the police station. A case has been registered against the man for drunk driving.
