Watch: Heritage building collapses at Darulshifa in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A part of an old heritage building at Darulshifa collapsed on Friday night. The building once housed the MCH office before it was shifted to Tank Bund.
According to reports, a little after midnight, the front portion of the building collapsed with a huge noise. Local people rushed to the spot and alerted the police. Luckily, no one was present on the main road when the debris fell.
The DRF, GHMC, local police and fire personnel reached the spot. Public representatives also visited and spoke to officials regarding the incident.
Historians said the building had housed the MCH office before it was moved to a newly constructed building at Tank Bund. Council meetings were conducted in the building during its use as the MCH office.
Later, the structure was abandoned due to its dilapidated condition.
