Hyderabad: In a major security breach occurred during the Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s visit to London, a Khalistani extremist attempted to disrupt the security while the minister was leaving in a car.
As Jaishankar was leaving the Cahtham House venue after a discussion , a group of Khalistani extremists were seen creating a commotion outside the venue and protesting with their flags. Incidentally, A man from the group ran towards the minister’s car and even tore the Indian National flag in front of the police officers.
In a video, that went viral on social media, shows the attacker aggressively marching towards Jaishankar’s car shouting slogans and insulting the Indian flag, while the police officers remain hesitant to react. However, later the police took him away.
The Minister had left for London on March 4 to participatein the bilateral meetings being held with the British Foreign Secretary.According to reports, the two diplomats have discussed several issues includingtrade, strategic cooperation, and geopolitics. Jaishankar is expected to be inLondon till March 9.
