Watch: MGBS flooded as Musi swells, passengers stranded in Hyderabad
Floodwater from the Musi River entered Hyderabad’s MGBS bus station on Saturday night, leaving several passengers stranded. Authorities released water from Osmansagar and Himayatsagar, causing inundation in Bandlaguda Jagir colonies. DRF and SDRF teams carried out rescue and relief operations.

HYDERABAD: Several passengers were stranded at the MGBS Gowliguda on Saturday night as the bus station was flooded following rise in water level of Musi River.
The HMWSSB authorities had opened gates of the Osmansagar and Himayatsagar following inflows and released water into the two reservoirs.
Due to sudden rise in water level in Musi River, the water entered the MGBS terminal and most part of it was flooded.
The DRF and SDRF teams reached the spot and started efforts to rescue and shift passengers to safety.
Meanwhile several colonies in Bandlaguda Jagir, were inundated prompting rescue operations by local municipal teams and DRF.
The colonies were inundated after the gates of Osmansagar and Himayatsagar were opened on Friday.
