Warangal: An RPF constable saved the life a woman passenger who was about to slip on the railway track at the railway station on Monday evening.
According to a press note, around 20 passengers were returning to Warangal from Tirupati by Krishna Express. One woman passenger, Parvathi (53), a resident of Bheemaaram village, among them could not get off the train before it started moving. She was hanging on the foot board, and jumped from the running train.
“Noticing this, the on duty constable, Chinnaramaiah, quickly responded risking his life to save the woman and was successful in his efforts. She would have slipped on to the tracks from the platform if Chinnaramaih had not responded swiftly,” the press note said, adding that Chinnaramaiah was a national level athlete. The railway officials, and passengers appreciated him for his daredevil act.
